Expert Direction; Exceptional Results
These samples highlight multi-faceted projects I’ve led or played a central role in. While the goals and tools varied, my approach remained consistent: define the desired outcomes, align with stakeholders, and deliver results that met — or exceeded — expectations.
Oversaw two service platform migrations for AE Techron, transitioning from the service module of Intuitive ERP to RepairShopr CRM, and later to MyGadgetRepairs CRM. Developed and maintained customer intake forms, repair workflows, ticket automations, and custom reminders for both AE Techron Service and its Harman-branded repair division. Structured and adapted form submission handling to align with each CRM's API requirements. Also supported internal documentation, SOPs, and staff onboarding throughout both transitions.
Designed and built a secure, web-based application to replace AE Techron’s Excel-based QA records system. The tool captured unique performance test results for each manufactured unit, generated a formatted “Proof of Performance” certificate for inclusion with the shipment, and archived the results in a centralized MySQL database for future lookup and traceability. Built using PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, and low-code tools for backend management. The system improved accuracy, reduced manual entry errors, and streamlined compliance and customer support processes.
This custom Excel-based scorecard was developed to provide clear visibility into the health of a hybrid service division supporting both AE Techron and Harman International amplifiers. Pulling data from multiple intake points—web forms, CRM exports, invoice records—it consolidated weekly ticket volume, revenue trends, and in-house workload across technicians and repair types. It was also designed to flag backlogs and perform repair ticket aging by status group (e.g., Waiting for Product, In-House, Waiting for Customer Response, etc.).
This Python-based CLI tool fetches and displays real-time weather data using the OpenWeatherMap API. The script prompts users for a city name, makes a GET request, parses the returned JSON, and prints formatted results including temperature, humidity, wind speed, and conditions. To support developer clarity and API adoption, I authored a concise usage guide styled after modern SDK documentation, complete with prerequisites, sample output, and endpoint behavior. This project demonstrates foundational proficiency in Python scripting, REST API integration, and technical documentation aimed at a developer audience.
These examples showcase my work building or improving websites, web tools, and front-end experiences. From hand-coded pages and responsive redesigns to PHP/MySQL integrations and CMS transitions, I focus on clarity, usability, and long-term maintainability.
Managed a multi-phase web modernization effort for AE Techron, progressing from a legacy static site to a fully responsive Bootstrap-based redesign — and later assisting with the migration to WordPress for long-term maintainability.
View ProjectWhether it’s simplifying a customer intake process or improving internal workflows, I approach forms and UX challenges with empathy and systems thinking. These examples reflect how I use plain language, thoughtful logic, and the right tools to improve both experience and efficiency.
Reworked a confusing intake process into a clean, accessible experience with 40% fewer user errors.
View ProjectMy technical writing spans SOPs, work instructions, service bulletins, product documentation, and more. I specialize in making complex procedures clear and actionable — whether for internal teams, customers, or regulatory needs.
Tools Used: Adobe In Design, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Embedded Help Integration Tool for Unity
This embedded help document was created to support users of the AE Techron 3110A test system. It provides structured guidance for engineers using the 3110A to perform standards-based immunity testing for EMC compliance.
I developed this manual in collaboration with engineering, programming, technical support, and QA teams, combining interface screenshots, operational steps, and contextual explanations. It served dual purposes: as an embedded user help system and a standalone PDF guide provided on the company website to help drive sales. The document helped reduce support queries and ensured consistency in test operations across internal teams and customer sites.
Highlights include:
Tools Used: Adobe InDesign (or CorelDRAW for legacy documents), Adobe Acrobat
This two-page Quick Start Sheet was developed to provide a visual, user-friendly summary of key setup and safety procedures for the AE Techron 8504, a high-power digital amplifier used in demanding EMC and industrial test environments.
This quick-reference guide was created in collaboration with the engineering team and incorporated inputs from product testing, end-user feedback, and technical support. It condenses core instructions from the full user manual into a large-format (11x17 inch) reference. The design emphasizes clarity, minimal jargon, and critical safety highlights and was developed to support rapid onboarding and reduce support calls.

Technical Writing that Drives Action
I’ve authored and maintained hundreds of internal documents — from Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures to Field Service Notes and Corrective Action Reports. Whether guiding technicians through hardware setup, documenting ERP workflows, or capturing root cause analysis for quality issues, my goal has always been the same: make the complex actionable.
Tailored for Purpose & Readability
Each document I created was customized to the audience and context — combining visual clarity, procedural logic, and compliance readiness. These deliverables helped teams work safer, smarter, and more consistently across production, engineering, and support roles.
Note: Due to proprietary content, most samples are not publicly shareable. However, I’m happy to discuss structure, formatting, and results upon request.
In addition to internal documentation, I’ve created product brochures, press releases, and go-to-market content for engineering-driven audiences. These samples show how I bridge the gap between technical depth and audience clarity.
This marketing piece was used mainly at EMC tradeshows to showcase the AE Techron products best suited for EMC testing and pre-testing.

Download PDFThese are some volunteer or personal projects that demonstrate my ability to connect the dots between tools, processes, people, and outcomes. Whether building a quick shelving unit, a solar-powered irrigation system, or a planning calendar for ND households, I bring practical insight, flexibility, and follow-through to every engagement.
This was a quick, easy project that I got done in a day or two working an hour here and there.
